All Brazilians faced constant challenges in being able to pay their electricity bill on time. However, there is some information that is somewhat hidden from consumers.
For example, it is possible that many residents are paying more than they should each month. In this case, you can recover a lot of that money and make a considerable profit.
Electricity bill: How do I get part of it back?
Before paying the electricity bill, consumers usually just check the total amount without paying attention to the details. Therein lies the mistake, as some values can be calculated further. Tariffs may be subject to excessively high taxes on trade in goods and services (ICMS).
What is happening is that electrical energy can be seen as a kind of commodity. However, the tax must be levied on consumption and cannot be applied to fares. Among them we can highlight the TUST tariff for using transmission services or the TUSD tariff for using distribution services.
How do I request repair of the ICMS account?
The first thing to do is have any utility bills on hand that show an unreasonable charge on your account. Calculate the percentage of ICMS that should be levied only on consumption and exclude it from tariffs. Up to 60 accounts can be refunded at once.
