INSS: Additional up to 25% released, see if you will receive it

Retirees due to Permanent Disability from the National Social Security Institute (INSS) can now claim the additional 25% of their salary. In other words, good news.

However, this additional amount will only be released to policyholders who acquire a disability pension. In other words, the benefit does not include the death benefit in the event of the beneficiary's death.

How does the INSS additional work?

Therefore, citizens who receive the INSS ceiling are also entitled to the amount with its value updated annually as a benefit adjustment. In other words, it is worth highlighting, however, that retirement is automatically canceled when the insured person returns to work, check the requirements:

  • Loss of nine or more fingers;
  • Paralysis of both legs or arms;
  • Loss of legs if the prosthesis is not viable;
  • Total blindness;
  • Illness that leaves you bedridden;
  • Loss of a hand and two feet even if prosthetics are possible;
  • Loss of an arm and a leg when the prosthesis is not viable;
  • Inability to perform daily life tasks;
  • Change in cognitive abilities with serious disruption of social life, i.e., difficulty in organizing work
  • reasoning, thinking and decisions to carry out daily life tasks and socially independent.

It is important to remember that the INSS offers this type of assistance to policyholders who suffer from a permanent or definitive disability that makes them totally incapable of working.
