Previously, Albuquerque had already announced the start of studies and the forecast for holding the event next year.

It is worth remembering that in August 2020, PEC 104/2019 was approved, which created the criminal investigation department in the state of Ceará by the Legislative Assembly of Ceará. The Ceará Budget Guidelines Law for 2022 continues to provide for competition.
Organized by the AOCP Institute, the last Polícia Penal CE competition, held in 2017, offered 1,000 vacancies for the former position of Prison Agent (AGEPEN CE). The education required for the position was a secondary level of education. The initial salary was R$$ 3,747.29. In total, 1,695 candidates were appointed.

The responsibilities of the correctional officer (criminal police) are the supervision, custody, guard, escort, support and guidance of persons who are brought to state correctional facilities.

The initial monthly remuneration for the position of Prison Agent is made up of the salary assigned to Reference 1 of the Operational Administrative Support Activities Group – ADO, Prison Security Career and Special and Risk Activities Bonus – GAER and an additional night only when the agent is on duty at night.
Last contest held
The last AEPEN CE competition took place in 2017 under the organization of the AOCP Institute. 1,000 job offers were offered for the position of prison officer, 850 for male candidates and 150 for female candidates.
The competition was approved on June 14, 2018 and is valid until 2020, with the possibility of an additional two years, if necessary.
