In November 2021, the government began replacing the Bolsa Família program with Auxílio Brasil. In this way, the benefit should benefit around 18.5 million families with a minimum benefit of R$$ 400. However, many people still have questions about how the benefit works and the rules. And one of them is whether single people can receive Auxílio Brasil. Then check the answer below.
To get straight to the point, single people who want to join the Auxílio Brasil payroll must meet the following criteria:
- First of all, you must be registered with CadÚnico, in addition to maintaining an updated registration;
- Since you are in extreme poverty, in this case you must have per capita income of up to R$ 105; OR
- You are in a situation of poverty, therefore the monthly per capita income is between R$ 106 and R$ 210. In this case, a pregnant woman or person under 21 years of age is also required in the family composition;
- In the case of single-person families, that is, people who live alone, the income that citizens receive per month is analyzed.
For those who are not yet registered with CadÚnico, the procedure can be carried out in person at any CRAS (Social Assistance Reference Center) entity or at individual registration service points.
In the case of families consisting of more than one person, it is necessary to determine who is responsible for the family group. To be the owner, you must be at least 16 years old, preferably a woman.
