The president of the Senate informed that he must form a special committee to monitor it as he understands that the reform is urgent and because he has the feeling that the senators will prioritize the issue at the beginning of the legislature. As it is a proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC), the pension reform requires the minimum support of three-fifths of parliamentarians: 308 of the 513 deputies and 49 of the 81 senators.
