Those who usually experience this situation are those affected by natural disasters, such as the severe rains that made headlines in several Brazilian states. Therefore, only in these cases can FGTS withdrawals be released on an emergency basis.

List of those eligible to withdraw money from Caixa

As the name suggests, the benefit is for workers who live in locations that have declared a state of emergency. The withdrawal will then be made from an account linked to the Settlement Fund (FGTS) up to the maximum amount of R$$ 6,220.

To make a withdrawal, the citizen must meet the following conditions:

• Have a positive balance in an account linked to the FGTS;
• not withdrawing for the same reason in the previous 12 months;
