It is possible that the price of fuel, gasoline, will fall by an average of 21%, going from R$ 7.39 to R$ 5.84 on the national average
According to data released by the Minister of Mines and Energy Adolfo Sachsida after the government approved the measures proposed by the National Congress, it is possible that gasoline prices will be reduced by an average of 21%. If this actually happens, fuel could drop from R$ 7.39 to R$ 5.84 on the national average.
Last Tuesday (28), in a public hearing in the Chamber, the minister presented forecasts taking into account the application of Complementary Law 194/2022, which limits the collection of tax on goods and services between 17% and 18% (ICMS) on fuels , communications, electricity and public transport.
The calculations also include measures for diesel taxation, which are under discussion in the Federal Supreme Court (STF).
Diesel value
According to Sachsida, the data presented indicates a small impact on the reduction in the price of diesel. This is because, according to the Executive Branch, federal taxes are already zero.
Therefore, in the forecast presented, the value calculated for the price of diesel B S-10 could increase from R$ 7.68 to R$ 7 Increase of R$ .55. Therefore, the potential for reducing national average prices should reach 1.7%.
Cooking gas and Ethanol
In addition, forecasts were made for ethanol and cooking gas, which will also suffer price reductions following government actions. Thus, alcohol should go from R$ 4.87 to R$ 4.57 with a potential reduction of 6.1% in relation to the national average.
As for Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), known as cooking gas, according to the data shown, the average price currently calculated could go from R$ 112.70 to R$ 110.07, with a reduction of 2.3%.
Furthermore, according to Sachsida, the federal taxes charged on the 13 kg bottle were definitively zeroed.
