The president of the Senate informed that he should form a special commission to carry out the follow-up because he understands that the reform is urgent and because he has the feeling that the senators will prioritize the theme in this beginning of the legislature. As it is a proposed amendment to the Constitution (PEC), the Social Security reform needs the support of at least three-fifths of parliamentarians: 308 of the 513 deputies and 49 of the 81 senators.
